About

Geraldine Benfante is a freelance artist who resides in East Elmhurst, NY. She has a master’s degree from the New School of Social Research and graduated from the High School of Art and Design in New York City.  In addition, she has a certificate of completion from art instruction school.

Geraldine has her own art studio and teaches watercolor, drawing and color pencils at senior centers. She is a Board Member of the Jackson Heights Art Club, former President of Friends of East Elmhurst Library, member of the Salmagundi Club and Flushing Town Hall.  Geraldine’s original artworks include mixed media, acrylic, watercolor, ink and color pencil.  She has won numerous awards for her art and is an outstanding member of Cambridge Who’s WhoElite American Artists and the Salmagundi Art Club.

In addition, Geraldine has her own line of greeting cards and builds miniature houses.
